And so it begins.

So, as the bad blogging continues… I have spent the last few weeks in a funk (and not the good kind involving Chris or Parliament)

Somedays it feels like my body and soul has been raked over the coals, and then back again.

I feel like I finally hit rock bottom on the weekend, when on Sunday I could barely get out of my pyjamas, and could not get off the couch.

My parents also surprised me by offering to pay for a flight to the Cayman Islands in January.

Combine all of this with the fact that the 3 year ‘anniversary’ of my car accident is coming up this January… thus my motivation to get myself off of the couch, into the gym more and eat better.

So hence my new blog topic! Be prepared for the thrilling adventures of a fat girl trying to exercise more, eat well, and have a better outlook on life.

It began on Monday, October 17th.

A few things I have learned so far…

-Try not to over stretch things. Otherwise you will be walking like you rode a horse for 6 hours the next day. And it will hurt to sit.

-While using the elliptical at the gym overlooking the main part of the gym may provide you with lovely view of some musclar men… it will also provide a view of old men in shorts that are way too short.

-Remember your water bottle, otherwise you are going to overpay for a bottle of water at the gym.

-Update my workout playlist. Am now taking suggestions.

  1. Congrats on the blog! I just started mine yesterday. You’re due even more adulation, though, on getting out to the gym. I hardly know you, but I know how impossibly difficult that one step can be.
Playlist suggestions? Perhaps too old school, but I suggest “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins. There’s just something about that song that makes me want to tap my toes.

    • Thanks! It’s been a rough few years since my accident, lots of unknown injuries that have reared their ugly heads. I’m hoping that this is the last big push!
